Actually,
making a vector has a lot of style but in this tutorial I’m going to show you
how to make a vector with alpha masking.
This vector is my multimedia
class project, and I’m going to share and teach to you how to make it in a
simple ways or in just 5 steps.
Step 1
Make that picture
that you want to vector always in the first layer. So that it is easier to
trace up.
Just like this. If you want to see your output you just hide it by
clicking the eye symbol.
Step 2
In
making vector alpha masking, the most important tool that you will going to use
is the pen tool. So you must practice how to use it.
Whenever you draw or make a shape you must always make a new
layer, so that it is easier to edit.
Step 3
Using
your pen tool trace first the basic color of your model including the
background. It’s ok to trace the real picture as long as the layer or shape of
it is below than the real picture.
After you hide the real
picture by clicking the eye symbol. This it the output of it..
Make also the other part of the picture. Just like this!!!
Remember you must
group the layer form their respected part of the picture. Example [group name]
face, body, chest, right arm, etc. Just like this…
Step 4
This
step is the most crucial part in making an alpha masking vector because you now
deal with the detail. There are many styles in making the details. You can use
the Gaussian blur, or you may reduce the opacity or duplicate it.
In making that kind of effect which is something like gold
bars. You can use some technique; just like you’re your shape into a gradient
overlay in the layer style. Every detail you see is composed if every single
layer just like this!!!
